Our mission is to help players from all different levels reach their full potential. Whatever stage in pickleball you might be at, we are here to help. We provide innovative instruction, drills, strategy and more to improve each player's game. We cater to every player and are the all around package for pickleball improvement.

Our programs are based on innovative drills that suit the ever changing styles of pickleball. We cater to players' games and build upon them. We use fun and efficient drilling, live ball scenarios, and mini games to help each player improve.

Tailored "Homework"
Tailored "Homework"

Players will be given tailored “homework” plans for the days they are not training at the academy. These plans will outline a roadmap for success while not on the court with their current coaches. Specific drills, workout routines, nutrition and analysis to keep their game sharp.

Off Court Training
Off Court Training

In addition to our 6 week programs and tournament prep programs you are able to come to our off court training sessions once a week. These focus on footwork, conditioning, flexibility, pickleball specific hand eye coordination drills. We have found that adding in off court training works wonders for a player's court performance.

Video Analysis
Video Analysis

We will film one of your matches and break down the positives and areas to improve. Watching yourself play can be both humbling and beneficial. We have found that using visual guides help players improve.

Organized Matches
Organized Matches

We will organize competitive style match play with similar level players within and outside of the academy. Coaches will be there to analyze both during and after matches with players.

Tournament
Tournament

We will organize competitive tournament match play with similar level players within and outside of the academy. Coaches will be there to analyze both during and after matches with players. We will also seek a series of tournaments outside of the academy for players to test the waters. This will lead to larger tournaments.

Added bonus
Added bonus

Coaches will be on your side at one tournament of choice (within reasonable distance) to coach you along the way. The night before preparation, warm up, strategizing, scouting other teams and being with you every step of the way as your coach.

We will be hosting a number of socials and fun events throughout the year for our academy members. Events will include “beat the pro”, “mini dink tournaments”, “competition nights”, “round robin socials with music”, “happy hours” and more!

We are working with a number of guest pros to make appearances at clinics, workshops and socials. We will also be hosting guest speaker nights. More to be announced.

Welcome

Adult Program

Road to the next level: Are you a 3.0 or 3.5 player looking to bump up to the next level? We have the perfect program for you. Each week we will focus on 1.5 hours of on court training to take you to the next level. We have a specific lesson plan for each week to help build new skills or polish current skills. We launch April 2023! At the end of each session we will give you a few items to work on over the week while we are not on court together.

Skill level 3.0-3.5

Junior Program

Junior Academy: Do you have a junior aged 10-14 who is looking to improve their pickleball skills? We have just the program for you! This

Skill Level: Geared towards players who are intermediate players. Players should have basic knowledge of the sport, know the rules and be able to keep a short rally. This is not for advanced juniors.

Road to the Next Level Adult Series:

Choose a series that fits your skill level!

  • Boosting players from novice to intermediate. We build players from the ground up. Taking a complete novice into a well rounded player.

  • Players who are new to the game but do not consider themselves complete beginners. Players are able to keep short rallies, know most of the common terms, scoring and rules.

    Skill level: 2.0/2.5

  • Boosting players from intermediate to advanced players. Players will go through fun but intensive training.

    Skill level 3.0/3.5

  • Advanced/tournament players. Players will go through fun but intensive training.

    Skill level 4.0-4.5

  • This course is designed for players who have their eyes set on big tournaments. Players have a tournament in the future in mind. We take you through all of the tournament prep necessary to succeed. The program covers intense drilling, team based strategy, how to find your opponents weaknesses, off court training, nutrition, mental toughness and more.

    Skill level 4.5+

Devin Schmidt

Head Pro & Owner

One of the most recognized and in demand coaches in the PNW. Devin has been teaching and playing at the highest level for 5 years. His teaching style is innovative and strategic. He provides a variety of fresh and fun drills, games, and live ball scenarios to help you improve each player’s skill set.

Gunnar Gordon

Teaching Pro

A high level player and coach from Seattle. Gunnar has been involved in the sport for over 15 years. He is a certified coach and works with all different levels and ages. Gunnar is a regular guest pro at Devin Schmidt’s Premier Pickleball Clinics and Camps.

Preston Madden

Teaching Pro

An amazing coach from the PNW who has been involved in pickleball for close to 10 years. Preston is knowledgeable and personable. He has taught clinics with Devin for the past few years and also teaches private lessons throughout the Seattle and Sequim area.
