Devin Schmidt is a high-level pickleball player and teaching professional.

He is an internationally recognized coach based in Edmonds, WA. With nearly nine years of experience, he and his team have helped thousands of players enhance their skills. Many of his students have gone on to win national and local medals, advance to higher levels, and even become coaches themselves. Devin and his team are renowned for hosting top-tier camps, clinics, charity events, tournaments, and leagues. Over the years, Devin has taught globally, with stops across the USA, Holland, Hungary, Spain, and Mexico.

Devin is the founder of The Premier Pickleball Academy, the first ever pickleball academy in Washington State. The academy launched in 2023 with a variety of events planned for all ages. He is also the founder of Premier PB Camps and Clinics. You can see Devin and his team teaching Premier Camps at beautiful venues all across the nation.

For the last 5 years he has been the Head Pro at the highly acclaimed Harbor Square Athletic Club. Devin has helped build the pickleball program into one of the most popular clubs in the PNW.

Devin has recently been appointed as the Director of Instruction for Side Out Pickleball Centers. The first location, in Everett, WA is the largest dedicated pickleball facility in King and Snohomish counties. Side Out is currently building a 26 court facility in Seattle that will be the largest facility in the PNW.

For over three years Devin was a guest pro for the highly rated Tyson McGuffin Signature Camps.

You can catch Devin all over the country sharing the court with some of the biggest names in pickleball.

As a community member he regularly host charity events. Over the years he has held events to support charities such as PAWS Animal Shelter, Platoon 22, Edmonds Food Bank, Washington Alzheimer’s Association and more.

He has been featured nationally in Fox Business, podcasts and various local news sources.

As an avid player Devin has traveled all over the nation to tournaments to compete in the 5.0 and pro levels. In 2024 he took home 1 gold, 1 bronze and won the Washington Cup team event.

Devin and his team have also created the Edmonds Classic and Side Out Slam. The tournaments showcased an impressive lineup, including almost every top professional player from Washington, alongside a diverse array of amateur skill-level events. The primary focus for all their tournaments is to deliver a unique and enjoyable player experience These tournaments featured cash prizes, a catered player party with delicious food, beer, free raffles, ample viewing areas, and top-notch courts, making them a standout event in the region.
